Governor Cuomo began passing a number of Executive Orders in mid-March that would allow for businesses to continue to function through the pandemic as millions adapted to working remotely. Two of those Executive Orders (EO 202.7 and EO 202.14) centered around allowing for the remote notarization, witnessing and execution of legal documents, all of which were previously not allowed under New York State law.
